Shot at 20 yards from a free-standing position, with bolt action or semi-automatic rifles; the most common being the Ruger 10/22. Optical Scopes are often used (dependent on the competition rules)

The targets are NSRA AIR4/89 and AIR10/97 with 5 or 10 shots being shot at each target.

Lightweight Sport rifle is mostly shot at High Wycombe and District Rifle and Pistol Club on Monday  Evenings between 19:30 and 21:30
